About Spiritual Direction
What is Spiritual Direction?
Spiritual direction is two people listening together to the Holy Spirit as spiritual friends and soul companions. Further, it's a conversation between two people where one is seeking to help another to deepen their friendship with God.
What does a Spiritual Director do?
A Spiritual Director helps a person to grow in relationship with the Lord. The director is a spiritual companion, walking with and encouraging them along the way.
What happens in a Session?
Your director is focused on creating an environment where you can hear and respond to the voice of the Holy Spirit. As David Benner says, “Discerning the presence and leading of the Holy Spirit is the central task.” The primary goal of these conversations is to lead you to a deepening relationship with God.
